March 25, 2026
The annual REVEL Mt. Charleston Marathon will cause a lot of traffic problems on Saturday, March 28. People who live in the Providence Las Vegas and Skye Canyon areas should plan ahead.
This big race will bring thousands of runners through the northwest valley. Major road closures will start as early as 4:00 AM and last until the early afternoon (around 2:00 PM).
Fort Apache Road Mostly Impacted
Fort Apache Road will be completely closed in both direction, so cars will not be able to cross the course while runners are on it.
There will be delays and limited access in the 89166 area.
What People Should Expect
- Not very easy to travel east/west across Fort Apache
- More traffic on other routes
- Traffic jams when you enter or leave neighborhoods in Providence Las Vegas and Skye Canyon
Suggested Other Travel Options
- For longer trips, take US-95 or the 215 Beltway.
- Make plans to go before 4:00 AM or after 2:00 PM.if you can
- Give yourself extra time if you have to travel during the event.
This is one of the biggest running events in the area. It will bring energy and excitement to the community, but it will also temporarily change the way traffic flows.
We urge residents to plan ahead, modify their travel plans, and choose alternative routes to prevent delays.
Quick Takeaway
- This is not a small neighborhood run — it’s a large marathon with full road shutdowns.
- If you have plans that morning, leave early or reroute entirely.
